Gear spinner
First post!

Designed with Blender, printed on a Wanhao Duplicator i3.
One in a series of hand spinners I am working on.... more to come!

Required parts to build this spinner:
2 - Frames (3D printed)
3 - Outer Gears (3D printed)
1 - Inner Gear (3D Printed)
5 - Standard Bearings
2 - Washers (diameter matching the inner ring of the bearings)
1 - 1in screw

Print Settings

Printer brand: Wanhao

Printer: Wanhao Duplicator i3 V2

Rafts: No

Supports: No

Resolution: .2 or .3 (both tested)

Infill: 30%

Bearings should fit into the frame pieces and the outer gears with some resistance. I like to gently guide the bearings into place using pliers (pressing down slightly on one side of the bearing, then the same on the other side, repeat).

When screwing the cap pieces together, be sure that the screw goes in straight. If the cap pieces are crooked when the screw it tightened, your spinner will not spin very well.

I find that the spinner works best when the cap pieces are tightened very well (inner gear should not move at all if you're holding either side of the cap) and that the frame pieces are secured to the middle of the bearing on both sides.

Degrease your bearings for better results.
Have fun, and post results, feedback, or suggestions.
