2024 marks a significant shift in market dynamics in the world of consumer 3D printers. There has been a considerable shift in customer loyalty away from previously top-leading brands.
The former market leader, Creality, which some would argue had the highest customer loyalty, now has one of the lowest according to our 2024 study. Consumers are switching their Creality machines for the more reliable and faster Bambu Lab 3D printers.
Another interesting point to note is that Prusa brand loyalty appears to be steady, and there is an increased interest in the ultra-high-speed, open-source Voron 3D printers. Brands with the highest customer loyalty include Bambu Lab, Voron, and Prusa. 3D printer brands with the lowest customer loyalty include Anycubic, Creality, and Elegoo.
The average number of 3D printers owned is 2-3, and the top picks for print farms include Bambu Lab, Creality, and Prusa. Overall, Bambu Lab appears to be increasing its dominance, and fewer people are opting for smaller brands, consolidating into the more popular choices.
