This is the World's smallest 3d printed gearbox. Did you know that if you want to 3d print small objects you can use a smaller diameter nozzle? A regular 3d printer comes with a 0.4mm nozzle. A 0.4mm nozzle is a good all around nozzle. To 3d print big objects faster, swap the nozzle with a 0.6mm or 0.8mm nozzle.

The drawback of using a bigger nozzle is that you will loose detail. 0.4mm nozzles make it so you can print small objects like this mini gearbox. However, if you usually 3d print large objects, switch to a bigger nozzle to print much faster.

0.4mm nozzles, or nozzles less than 0.4mm, are great for printing tiny objects. However, the risk of getting a clogged nozzle is higher.

Hardware: requires 3mm rod / bolts

Print / slicer settings:
